Do You Have Dry…Crepey (not creepy) Eye Lids?

Yep,  I am getting older.  And as I think about it, it’s funny how I tend to think in terms of just me getting older… not anyone else. It could be my natural tendency of accentuating the negative about me and finding the positive attributes in others. (Note to myself…Stop It!)

My eyelids just aren’t what they used to be. I struggle with having deep recessed eyelids that used to be smooth and the perfect canvas for applying eyeshadows.  Not anymore. Do you know that applying moisturizer to your eyelids during the day, underneath eyeshadow can sometimes cause the color to crease and not last as long. How many times have you been at a stop sign, looked at your make-up in the rear view mirror and had to wipe the crease away with your finger? I hate that!

Here’s the fix. Moisturize your lids before you go to bed, not in the morning. I use SeneGence’s EyeCreme. It has anti-aging properties that has a rich blend of jojoba, avocado, sweet almond oils and vitamins A & E. It melts at skin temperature, fills in fine lines and creates a silky coating that reduces drag, it you apply it under your make-up. I apply it at night, otherwise I’d find it settling in my crepey eye lids. You can also try the EyeLuminator during the day as the perfect highlighter!…that is if you don’t have crepey eye lids.

Remember! Your Reflection Will Change Your World….

Beautiful Brown Eyes

As I age, I find that softer matte color eye shadows are more flattering to my eyes. Dark shades can be too harsh and add years to my face. I try to stay in the same color family of my eyes to accent my eye color.

If you have brown eyes you’ve got it easy. I’m jealous; any color looks good on you. Don’t be afraid to experiment with all colors. You’ll find what appeals to you and flatters you the most. If you get stuck try charcoal, pewter, expresso, golden brown, mahogany, coppery bronze, dark purple, rich blue or deep greens.

Because I have droopy eye lids, my shadows used to crease or wear off by the end of the day. I learned to start with a clean, dry eye lid. Which means I’m removing any moisturizer that might have gotten on my eye lids. Since I’ve been using SeneGence eye shadows which are long lasting, I haven’t had that problem. My shadow stays on all day and doesn’t crease into the folds of my eyelids. Yahoo!!!!!

Your Eyes Speak Volumes…

You know that old saying, “Your eyes are the windows to your soul”? Without sounding to vein, they are also the reflection of your beauty. Don’t futz it up by using the wrong color of eye shadow.

Tip#2: The perfect shadow colors for green eyes are charcoal, soft violet (check out SeneGence’s Silver Violet matte finish), deep burgandy, coppery bronze, eggplant purple, deep taupe or a warm brown.

And don’t forget that SeneGence’s Lash Extend can lenghten and thicken your eyelashes and brows without prescriptions or side effects.
